The Swedish Embassy of Sweden and the Swedish Trade Council, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry are hosting a seminar on how going green is good for business.
The event will focus on how Swedish and South African companies can promote increased awareness and cooperation around these issues, and how green business strategies can be used to the benefit of both the environment and profitability.
The Swedish Minister for Trade Dr Ewa Björling will deliver the closing address.
Topics of discussion will include:
- The South African government's vision, strategic direction and framework for climate policy;
- green technology transfer between Sweden and South Africa;
- energy-saving transport systems; and
- options for sustainable energy development in South Africa.
The event aims to improve green trade relations between the Swedish and South African business communities, and identify business opportunities in the environmental and energy sectors in South Africa.
